This page explains what you can and cannot do with content on this site.
Summary¶
Some content on this site is shared under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
That means you may reuse that content for non-commercial purposes, as long as you credit the source and share any adaptations under the same license.
Official Kaernest products are sold separately and may have different terms.
What CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 Allows¶
You may:
- Share: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the material.
As long as you:
- Attribute: give appropriate credit and indicate if changes were made.
- NonCommercial: do not use the material for commercial purposes.
- ShareAlike: if you remix or build on it, you must distribute your contributions under the same license.
What “NonCommercial” Means Here¶
If you are selling something (book, PDF, course, Patreon reward, subscription, app, etc.), it is probably commercial use.
If you are unsure, contact me before using it in a paid product.
Exceptions and Separate Terms¶
The following may be excluded from Creative Commons unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- Logos and icons (including the Kaernest icon)
- Trademarks / brand identity
- Third-party artwork or content
- Anything explicitly marked with different licensing terms
