What Makes Rocas Unique

They are: - enormous (vardo-sized to house-sized) - elegant - partially translucent - patterned in shifting moon-derived colors - able to filter-feed on the nightly star-bloom - able to move along invisible star-rivers that astrologers track

Behaviors

• They appear only on nights when star-currents are “thick.”
• They swim through the upper air with slow, dreamlike arcs.
• Some nights, a Rocas may “sing” harmonics that affect starflow patterns.
• They shed tiny flakes of “star-dust fat” that Kampanni collect for festival lamps.
• Voltagulls often accompany them, like remora fish.

Relationship to Dragons

Dragons ignore them because: - Rocas flesh turns to vapor when wounded. - They provide no nutrients. - Their bodies cause sensory overload in draconic heat-vision. - Killing one is considered profoundly unlucky among dragon-kin.

Relationship to Kampanni

Kampanni do not tether Rocas (too sacred), but: - follow them for smooth wind lanes - read omens from their swimming patterns - gather their fallen star-flecks - compose sky-songs inspired by their harmonics

They are living celestial events, not beasts of burden.
