  • –4 Impact is exceptionally rare.
  • Exceeding –4 requires Enchanting or Rituals.

Channeling Difficulty (Barrier)

Modifiers: - Narrow, specific threat: +0 - Broad category (fire, physical): +2 - Multiple threat types: +4 - Moving boundary or mobile target: +2 - Structural target: +2

Duration and Maintenance

  • Personal Barriers: one scene, no maintenance
  • Area or structural Barriers: Ka paid per hour
  • Wards exceeding 24 hours require Enchanting

Armour Boost (Barrier)

Barrier applied to armour grants: - +2 additional uses of the armour's Impact reduction - Uses are consumed first - Duration: one combat unless extended

Burn

Burn may be taken to: - increase Impact reduction by –1 for a single instance - prevent a ward from degrading when overloaded

Limitations

  • Barrier does not function against Lightning or Storm damage.
  • Barrier cannot deal damage or impose conditions.
