Preserve is the Vitalis Method concerned with delaying deterioration. It does not heal or restore.

Ka Cost (Preserve)¶
Ka is paid per time interval deferred.

Preserving beyond one day requires Enchanting.
Channeling Difficulty (Preserve)¶
Modifiers: - Stable target: +0 - Failing system: +2 - Actively collapsing: +4 - Near death: +6
Maintenance¶
Preserve always requires maintenance. - Ka is paid per interval. - Loss of Channeling ends the effect immediately.
Burn¶
Burn may be taken to: - extend preservation briefly - prevent immediate collapse on interruption
Design Notes¶
- Preserve delays consequence, it does not remove it.
- When Preserve ends, effects resume immediately.
