Tales of the Verdanni Numen¶
🌱 Pasha, Numen of Spring — The Seeds of Hope¶
Long ago, when war left the groves burned and the Verdanni hungry, the people wept at the barren earth.
Then came Pasha, clothed in blossoms, carrying a pouch of seeds.
She scattered them into the ash and said, "Even from fire’s ruin, roots will find their way."
The seeds took root overnight, sprouting into shoots and vines that fed the people until the groves healed.
Lesson: Even in ruin, life finds renewal. Never despair when you can plant.
☀️ Solejjatto, Numen of Summer — The Dance of Flames¶
Solejjatto loved to dance, and wherever he stepped, sparks flew. One night, he danced among the Verdanni, whirling so quickly that their robes caught fire.
But instead of fleeing, they danced with him, turning flame into rhythm.
When dawn came, the ashes of their robes grew into flowers the color of fire.
Lesson: Passion may burn, but if embraced, it becomes beauty.
🍂 Rakkolto, Numen of Fall — The Keeper of Memory¶
An old Verdanni once forgot where his family’s grove had stood. He wandered, lost, grieving, until Rakkolto came in robes of red and gold.
The Numen laid a single leaf in the Verdanni’s hand and whispered: "All harvests are memory."
When the elder pressed the leaf to the ground, the grove returned, not as trees, but as golden sheaves of grain, enough to feed a village.
Lesson: The past is never truly lost, if remembered and shared.
❄️ Navvicair, Numen of Winter — The Silent Grove¶
Once, the Verdanni quarreled so loudly over their harvest that no work was done. Navvicair came cloaked in frost and silence.
She raised her hand, and snow covered the grove. The Verdanni fell quiet, for in that stillness they heard their own foolishness.
When the snows melted, the harvest had been preserved, and the people understood: sometimes silence saves more than words.
Lesson: Rest, stillness, and endings are as necessary as growth.
